BULL MOOSE MUSIC CELEBRATES 15TH ANNIVERSARY WITH MUSIC, PRIZES AND GAMES LORETTA LYNN, RICHARD THOMPSON, CROSSFADE AND ZAKK WYLDE SIGN GUITARS FOR ANNIVERSARY PRIZES

PORTLAND, ME – Bull Moose Music celebrates 15 years of “nowhere better, nowhere cheaper” on Saturday, September 25 with storewide events. All 10 Bull Moose Music stores will be giving away fun items such as CD samplers, stickers, buttons, t-shirts and pens to customers during the day on Saturday, as long as supplies last. In addition, Bull Moose Music has created a 15th Anniversary Trivia Contest; people can enter to win prizes ranging from autographed guitars to a Playstation 2 with loads of goodies in between. Entry forms must be filled out on the 25th; winners will be drawn the following week and be contacted at that time.

The Scarborough Bull Moose, 456 Payne Rd., will host Reid Genauer, the front man for the nationally known jam band Assembly of Dust, for a solo acoustic performance. He is scheduled to perform a short set at 2:30 p.m., Saturday 25. Genauer will also be available to sign autographs following this free in-store performance. Sanford and North Windham stores are expected to have local bands performing in the afternoon.

The 15th Anniversary Trivia Contest has prizes to appeal to virtually any Bull Moose customer. Bull Moose Music has collected a wide range of hard to find items to give away including guitars autographed by country music star Loretta Lynn, British folk-rocker Richard Thompson, the hard rock band Crossfade, and heavy metal rocker Zakk Wylde. Other prizes include posters autographed by Bob Weir and the Crickets and a banner Kenny Chesney autographed. In addition, a Sony Playstation 2, a 2005 Madden game, a huge Resident Evil display, Hoobastank autographed CD booklets, a Pink Floyd display, an extremely rare Rolling Stones video reel, Fear Factory autographed drum sticks, a Sum 41 skate deck, ten Vision skate decks, a cky skate deck and many other items will be given away.

“We're trying to take the excitement and mayhem of our new store grand openings and spread it around to every Bull Moose on the same day. To mix it up a bit, each store is going to have its own set of games and fun in addition to our big sale and the trivia contest,” said Bull Moose’s Chris Brown. As part of the daylong festivities many of the stores will have live music and games such as “Pin the Tail on the Moose” and “Musical Jeopardy.” Numerous radio stations will be broadcasting live from the Bull Moose stores in Maine.

Bull Moose Music was started in 1989 by Brett Wickard when he was a junior at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. What began as a makeshift store carrying only a few records is now the largest music retailer in Maine and Seacoast New Hampshire. Today Bull Moose Music has stores in Bangor, Brunswick, Lewiston, North Windham, Portland, Sanford, Scarborough and Waterville, Maine and Portsmouth and Salem, New Hampshire and employs nearly 100 people. Its product line includes new and used records, CDs, DVDs and new and used video games. The stores also carry accessories ranging from CD cases to hair dye and incense.

Bull Moose added its most recent store, a warehouse store, in July 2003. This store, in Scarborough Maine, houses over 300,000 new and used records, CDs, DVDs and games. The store supplies stock for all 9 other Bull Moose locations in Maine and New Hampshire.
