That's right, you read it correctly, Gillian Britt was heard live on American Idol, Wednesday, April 16

In support of National Record Store Day, and our client Bull Moose, Gillian called American Idol to invite the judges to tell the world what their first album purchases were. After much screening and waiting, Gillian was accepted and made her live call to the show.

"Gillian from Portland Maine" called to say that Saturday is National Record Store Day. She asked the judges what the first album was that they purchased. Here's what they said: Randy: Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, and James Brown. Paula: Earth, Wind & Fire, Carol King’s Tapestry and Michael Jackson. Simon: Paula’s “Straight Up.”

Gillian's goal with this call was to present the judges with an intriguing question that would draw attention to music industry retail independents like Bull Moose. It worked -- it is estimated that her call and plug for National Record Store Day reached more than 25 million viewers, mostly adults ages 18 to 49.

Bravo Gillian! Good work.
